NVIDIAが3月16日、AIを活用した次世代グラフィックス技術「DLSS 5」を発表。発表直後からネット上では賛否が激しく分かれている。

2026年3月16日、NVIDIAが「コンピュータグラフィックスにおけるブレークスルー」と称してAIで映像のアップスケーリングを行う「DLSS 5」を発表しました。DLSS 5で加工した際のビフォーアフター映像も公開されているのですが、あまりにも加工しすぎだと指摘されています。

NVIDIAの発表ページ では、「DLSS 5」は「 2018年のリアルタイムレイトレーシング登場以来のブレイクスルー 」とされており、NVIDIAの創業者兼CEOであるジェンスン・フアン氏は「NVIDIAがプログラマブルシェーダー（GPU上での詳細な描画処理を開発者が設定できる仕組み）を発明してから25年、私たちは再びコンピュータグラフィックスを革新しようとしています」と述べています。

NVIDIAは3月16日(現地時間)から、AIソリューション向け年次イベントGTC 2026を開催しており、初日の11時から13時には同社 共同創業者でCEOのジェンスン・フアン氏による基調講演が行なわれた。
