北海道大学 (北大)は3月11日、ニジマス ( Oncorhynchus mykiss )を対象に、魚のエネルギー収支に基づく成長モデルと、魚の遊泳行動を再現する行動モデルを組み合わせることで、コンピュータ上で飼育プロセスを丸ごと再現可能なシミュレーション技術を開発し、実際の飼育実験との比較から同技術が養殖における成長予測に有効であることを示したと発表した。
