The setting and the performance have a Dali feel, as Perry readjusts tapes with his screwdriver and fiddles with knobs, gloating like a kid. It is easy to understand why Brian Eno called him "a genius of recorded music": because Perry was the first to consider the studio as an instrument in its own right.
