Maria Hryhorivna Nikiforova (1885–1919) was a Ukrainian anarchist and military figure during the Ukrainian War of Independence. She led units known as the Black Guards and became widely known as an atamansha (a female ataman). In her youth, she was involved in revolutionary movements and was imprisoned in the Russian Empire before emigrating to Western Europe.
