This was Friday’s moonrise over Nubble — and it wasn’t just any moonrise. This one was a supermoon, and the most northern alignment of the year, which meant it was a much longer shot than usual from 2.3 miles away. The holiday lights made it feel even more special. I ended up climbing onto some slippery, snow-covered rocks just to get the angle right, trying not to slide into the water while keeping the lighthouse lined up exactly where I wanted it.
