The CSX Responder Incident Training (RIT) program is an integral part of our commitment to safety, helping us build relationships with and train the first responders who serve the communities where we operate. The CSX fleet of heritage locomotives is continuing to grow with the introduction of CSX 1871 painted in a custom design honoring the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad (ACL). First appearing in 1871, the ACL was officially incorporated in 1900 and extended from Georgia to Richmond, Virginia, and later into Florida.
