Shell repair turtle went for a nice soak today, very curious roaming around, he had some nice mealworms as treats. Here’s a behind the scenes look at a turtle shell repair. We do not begin this process on intake. We have a series of steps prior to shell repair as it is done in phases. We must be mindful of flystrike and maggot activity prior to sealing the shell.
